Photography

So I'll probably start posting photography on here since I don't want to put it on facebook. Some feedback would be nice! But not too rough. I only just started. :)

UO campus. These are edited, obviously. I liked the colors and the feeling of Fall! I thought about making the bottom one look a little more creepy, but since the first one is pretty edited, I wanted to make the bottom one look a little more natural. I'll add the originals if anyone wants to see them. It was a pretty cloudy, gloomy day.

Different kind of edit.

Living With the Boys

So everything's been great. Let's start with school.

This term I'm taking Organic Chemistry, Intro to Biochemistry, and Calc II. Both Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry have three hour labs. I've heard a lot of horror stories about Organic Chemistry being the hardest undergraduate class and so far I really like it! Of course all we're doing right now is learning about the different groups of hydrocarbon compounds and what their structures look like, but apparently we're going to be doing quite a bit of that for a while. One thing I have to work on is NOT trying to MEMORIZE all of the structures and their names. There are so many that if I try memorizing them, I'll probably run out of memory before the end of the term. Instead, I have to learn systematically how to draw isomers and name them. Luckily Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry overlap quite a bit, since a whole lot of biological molecules are organic.
I really enjoy my Ochem professor. He's funny and I learn well with humor. My Biochem professor is an old, kind of borderline senile woman. She gives lectures by printing out slides and projecting them under an overhead. Every time she wants to make a point, she taps her pin on the paper slide until it's completely crooked. This annoys me more than anything I've had to deal with lately. My Calc professor is actually not a professor. He's a graduate student from China. He actually has really good English but sometimes certain words are heard to understand. Instead of 'measure' he says 'mayor'. Luckily, I've technically already taken the class. I'm in 252 and UO gave me credit for 251 and 252 since the class I took at Linfield was a semester course. So I don't actually have to know what he's saying for another month or so.
I've been thinking a lot about what I want to minor in. I know I want to study abroad for a summer, so right now I'm trying to decide between Japanese and African Studies. Japanese because I think it's a beautiful language and it will be different from learning French, and African Studies because I have friends who've been to Senegal and they say it's the most cultured, most friendly French-speaking country a person can travel to.
Living with the boys is great. Almost every time Connor cooks something on the stove, he leaves it on until either Kyle or I find it and turn it off. It's pretty funny, but scary... The apartment is great, we all get along great, we're all pretty responsible people so no one is failing classes, though we all have our fair share of video games and t.v shows. Eugene is fun. I went to one game and was kind of burned to a crisp. Every time there's a home game, I don't have cell service.. it's a conspiracy.

Anyway! That is all.
